Maximizing the Potential of Gili Air, NTB Provincial Government Fully Supports the 2025 International Soundtuari Festival
The NTB Provincial Government fully supports the 2025 International Soundtuari Festival which will be held in Gili Air, North Lombok on 5-7 September 2025. This international-scale music festival is expected to be a bridge to introduce the customs of North Lombok and the charm of Gili Air to the world.
The support was conveyed by the Deputy Governor of NTB, Hj. Indah Dhamayanti Putri, SE., M. I. P, when receiving an audience with the Founder of PT Garda Utama Edukasi Marcelia Lesar and Fuji Rama as the organizing director, in the Deputy Governor’s office, Monday, April 21, 2025.
“Of course, this is support from the ministry for the progress of our region, especially several Gilis in North Lombok. This activity is also an event to showcase the potential of MSMEs in NTB,” said Umi Dinda, the Deputy Governor’s nickname.
The Deputy Governor also appreciated the coordination that had been built between the organizers and the NTB Provincial Government and the North Lombok Regency Government. He emphasized the importance of cross-sector synergy so that this activity can run successfully and sustainably.
“So far, I see that coordination with the ministry is quite good, through fellow organizers. We support together so that NTB, especially the three Gilis, are better known to the wider community,” he added.
Umi Dinda hopes that the Soundtuari International Festival can later become an annual agenda, with consistent and continuous implementation.
“It’s time for us to show the advantages of an activity based on the sea and islands. I hope that this activity will not only be held once, but can become a permanent annual calendar, so that people remember Gili Air every time they hear the name of this festival,” said Umi Dinda closing the audience.
Meanwhile, the Founder of PT Garda Utama Edukasi Marcelia Lesar, always the event organizer, explained that the 2025 Soundtuari International Festival event with the theme Love is Gili Air will integrate NTB’s tourism and creative economy as a whole. This festival is held to highlight the potential of North Lombok Regency, especially Gili Air and its surroundings and introduce its customs to the world.
“Our target audience is 65% foreigners and the rest are local tourists,” explained Macelia Lesar.
Although targeting an international audience, the Jazz Singer from Sulawesi emphasized that this festival will continue to uphold local customs and culture. The festival will take a short break every time the local community prays. In addition, the opening ceremony of this festival will also be used as an event to introduce dances, weaving, and various elements of the customs of North Lombok Regency.
Marcelia also explained that this festival will later provide a special area for UMKM of 1 hectare which will be filled with 166 boots to maximize its economic impact. Various international and local artists will also enliven this cross-genre music festival. For more information, the Press Conference for the event will be held on May 2 in Gili Air.
