Indonesia’s First Festival, Activating an Island with Visual Installations and World-Class Artists
Indonesia will soon host the first international music festival that will activate an entire island with visual installations and performances by world-class artists. Soundtuari International Music Festival 2025 will be held on September 5-7, 2025 in Gili Air, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), with a target of limited visits of 5,000 people per day.
Marcelia Leser and Fuji Rama, Founder and CO Founder of PT. Garda Utama Edukasi (PT. GUE), as the organizers to the media crew, Friday (2/5/2025) explained, this Festival is an initiative of PT. Garda Utama Edukasi together with the Ministry of Tourism, Wonderful Indonesia, and the NTB Provincial Government to promote NTB’s tourism, culture, and creative economy to the international level. This event will present a cross-genre of music, from local to international artists, with several names such as Disko Afrika and Jazzerimo who have been confirmed, as well as one of 100 world-class DJs who will perform.
Soundtuari Festival will also be a pioneer by lighting up the coast of Gili Air through a spectacular visual installation of Sembilan Matahari after sunset. Various thematic stages will feature local musicians, viral artists, and international performers, with the opening ceremony planned to be inaugurated by the Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Creative Economy, and Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In addition to music, this festival also supports local economic development by presenting a special area for MSMEs. This area will be a place for small and medium business actors to introduce local handicrafts and culinary products to national and international audiences.
Soundtuari Festival also invites the Bayan indigenous community and traditional music communities to play an active role, while integrating local culture into sustainable tourism programs in the future.
