Regency Government: 2025 Soundtuari Festival as a Promotional Event for North Lombok Tourism
Deputy Regent of North Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), Kusmalahadi Syamsuri said the local government supports the implementation of the 2025 International Soundtuari Music Festival because it can be an event to promote Gili Air tourism and other tourist destinations in the area.
“Hopefully with this soundtuari festival, visits by foreign and local tourists will increase,” said Kusmalahadi in his statement in Mataram, NTB, Saturday.
The International Soundtuari Festival is planned to be held on September 5-7, 2025, taking place in Gili Air, Gili Indah Village, Pemenang District, North Lombok Regency.
“This event can boost community income through local MSMEs that introduce superior regional products at international events,” he said.
He said the Soundtuari Festival is an international music event that combines ethnic and modern music.
Therefore, this event was held in North Lombok to introduce the beauty of Gili Air, local customs and the potential of the creative economy of NTB on the world stage, by involving MSMEs to promote superior regional products.
“The implementation of this Soundtuari Festival requires support from all parties so that it can run successfully and have a positive impact on the economic growth of North Lombok,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Head of the NTB Tourism Office, Ahmad Nur Aulia, said that the provincial government supports the Soundtuari Festival activities held in Gili, because it can increase tourist visits and boost community welfare through MSMEs.
“I highly appreciate all parties who support this ‘event’ and have a positive impact on the progress of tourism in NTB, especially North Lombok,” he said.
Representative of PT Garda Utama Edukasi (GUE) Founder Marcelia Lesar said that this music festival event is an event sponsored by the Ministry of Tourism and Wonderful Indonesia to introduce tourism in NTB, especially North Lombok.
“Later, there will be around 5,000 visitors who will attend for three days in Gili Air, this agenda is a collaboration involving the Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the NTB Provincial Government and the North Lombok Regency Government and others,” he said.
“NTB’s cultural heritage and creative economy as a super priority destination on an international scale, Lombok is the future of Indonesian tourism,” he said.
